- The school was established in 1978 under the leadership of Mr C.P.Bosman. The learners of that decade played a vital role in the transformation of the new democratic society.
- Mr WG (Billy) Heynes took over the reins in 1991 after Mr Davinci Pharoah was at the helm for 1 year during 1990. Mr Heynes was in charge of the school from 1991 till 2012. Mr J N Ferndale took over from Mr Heynes and retired during 2014. Mrs N Chan-King is the present principal of the school.
- The school is situated in the far north of Port Elizabeth’s northern suburbs and as such is a melting pot of diverse cultures servicing areas as far as Bloemendal Kwanoxolo, Jacksonville, Timothy Valley, Kleinskool and all the extentions.
- Socio-economic conditions impact very harshly on the learners of this community, not withstanding these adverse circumstances, learners are positive and strive to do their best.
- The school is well secured with an alarm system in place which is supported with armed response.
- We also have a fully equipped computer class with no computers at present. We are still trying to secure donations for computers for the use of the learners.
- The school has been a beacon school for sporting achievements and our alumni, SGB and staff are determined to restore the school to its former glory.
